This poem

This poem1

is pages long.

The words roll off the screen,

and scroll beyond the heavens

to your eyes, to your breath,

to your thoughts, to your dreams.

To your soul, to my soul,

to my heart.

This poem

is oceans deep.

Words never imagined exist side by side

where they create truths just beyond your comprehension

and stretch

your world, your mind,

my past, my future.

Our life, our love.

This poem

is a shell.

Rethought, rewritten.

Edited, deleted.

Empty now.

  1. is in honor of National Poetry Month. I’ll write a few here and there. Not nearly as well as others, but as best I can. I hope you will too. []

Star cowboys
Blaze trails blue
Through the ether
Crumbs of stardust
Left as markers
For those who see
The faint flickers
Brilliance in the dark
And choose to follow
Faith at hand
Pioneers into the void
